About the Project

Project Summary

The A(I)BILITIES project aims to develop generative AI technology capable of automatically creating personalized interactive solutions for users with sensory and motor disabilities, based on their specific abilities. The project builds on previous TRL4-level results, recognised and awarded within the international scientific community, focused on interaction techniques for users with various types of disabilities.

Using an ability-based approach – where each user’s individual abilities serve as design requirements for digital devices – the project seeks to validate the A(I)BILITIES technology at TRL6. This technology will enable the automatic generation of accessibility-focused interactive solutions, powered by generative AI and tailored to each user’s capabilities.

Additionally, the project will demonstrate the A(I)BILITIES technology through a dedicated cloud platform designed to ensure equitable access to personalised solutions for users with disabilities.
